Terracotta Experiments!

Here we have the first terracotta pots with minor imperfections. However, they all have wonderful characters!  Glaze R4286 and P2065  over terracotta clay, with blue and green glass was an interesting but not uncommon choice, as many of my ceramic pieces make use of green and brown glaze.

Last pots of 2016


Ive been doing some work on the studio over christmas and im happy to say that all three of my creations survived! Now it's time for the glaze, these are the last pots of 2016 but they do not have a date stamp or scratched signature. I intend to write on these instead.

Oil painting

Here is a selection of progressive photos showing the stages of my first well equipped attempt at oil painting! Despite doing a lot of nature orientated mixed media work, I never thought that painting a collection of branches and logs could be so engaging.
